The pork steak was smoky and so tender, it could be cut by using a fork. Adding the hot & hot and spicy sauce really gave the meat a fantastic tangy kick. The potato salad and slaw ended up good, not spectacular. Encounter it, barbecue is regarding the meat, not the part dishes.

Rival makes a smaller crock pot but I like cooking extra to allow for leftovers the following day. I especially love the crock pot on hot days because I don't have to stand over a stove to make a nice meal. At night, I just throw in the ingredients of the dish, then select "low" to cook. In the morning, the dish is prepared and I can then set it on "warm" to keep throughout the day, leave it on "low" to cook a little longer, or place it in the fridge and warm it back up later.

If you put it on top of the existing mattress you may find the total package to soft, and it will be hard to get out of bed or roll over to a different position. Try it with only the pad, take the original mattress completely out. The 3-4" dense pad will give you better support and will be plenty comfortable on it's own.

Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meat, on both sides, in the skillet. Remove meat from the skillet and place in slow cooker crock pot ribs or crockpot. Discard the drippings from skillet, reserving about a tablespoonful.
