Protect Your Hearing Easily

Behind-the-ear (BTE) ears provide an even more natural hearing experience because the speaker rests outside the ear canal, allowing your natural hearing to do what it can before getting a boost from a BTE.



Next you sports earpiece should look for a good shooting jacket. Make sure it's waterproof and it'll keep you warm and dry in all weather. And, for when jacket will be too hot, invest in a shooting vest.

There are a few different options available for choice of ear protection. You can hearing aid buy premoulded earplugs or custom moulded earplugs. A premoulded earplug will usually have three flanges, and will fit directly into the ear. These cost much less than having ones moulded to fit your ears. However, the sound protection will not be as good because sound will still intrude the ear where the earplug doesn't fit perfectly. The types you can generally find are uniform attenuation and amplitude-sensitive. The uniform attenuation earplugs are good at reducing noise levels but not getting rid of high pitched frequencies, which is useful for the person working in the sound studio.

Another consideration for hearing aids in the music studio is what the user will be doing while using the earplugs or earmuffs. If you are in the recording studio singing, and you are going to be recorded by camera for a video, you won't want to have unsightly earmuffs sticking out. If you are going to need to move around and bob your head alot, earmuffs could end up falling off if they don't fit your overall head well.

A good rule of thumb to remember: if the package says it's meant to kill something- bugs or plants, wear protection. If it's meant to fertilize plants, wear protection. You're not a plant.

A large brimmed sun hat for gardening also works to keep the sun off the face and neck while working outside. Our forbearers had it right- the large farmers- hats and sunbonnets were practical and necessary. There are many styles of gardening hats available today.
